31 Weeks and another Shower

We went up to ATL for almost the last time until little Annyson gets here for another shower! This was was thown by my sweet Aunt Joyce. It was so nice, and the food was DELICIOUS! Those jalepenos stuffed w/ cream cheese and a little wiener, wrapped w/ bacon....oh so good! We are so blessed to have such a loving family and friends.

Aunt Joyce

Aunt Joyce made Annyson the sweeting knitted blanket...by hand. I hope this will be her favorite blanket. My grandmother made all of the grandchildren a quilt - but now that she is not here to make Annyson one, my sweet Aunt Joyce is going to make her one. That just brings tears to my eyes and means so much. I can't wait to tell Annyson all about her great grandmother, and how much her Aunt Joyce is like her...all the way down to the way her hands look. Just like grandma's sweet hands. Thank you for everything Aunt Joyce!

We are at 31 weeks, now and next week, we get to go for the 32 week ultrasound. I am so excited to see Annyson's sweet little face and see how much she has grown. I can't believe she is going to be here soon. So much anticipation...I just can't wait to hold my little girl!

Here is a little prayer for her, as during this week, her eyes are opening and shutting, exploring my womb.

Lord, thank you for creating our eyes. Thank you that my baby's eyes are open, that her irises dilate and contract according to how much light is let into my womb. Thank you for designing us so intricately. Our bodies are so adaptable, right down to the tinest parts. God, will you give my child eyes that recognize the beauty of the world around her? From a very early age, will you instill in her an understanding that all this beauty was created by someone - and that someone was you? Give her insight into the nature of her Creator. Open her eyes to the hidden treasures of this planet. Give her a curiousity about her environment, a love for the earth you created. And when she enjoys the grass and the trees and the sky and the sunset, may she praise your holy name and give you all the glory. Glory to you, Lord, for your miraculous creation.
